Arabians began in 1985 with one little Arabian mare! I myself, had been
raised with Quarter Horses, but in my heart the desire had always been
there to own an Arabian! So 20 years later we purchased our first
Arabian! When we brought this little mare home, she was so old and
broken down and thin but when you looked into those soulful eyes you saw
a heart as big as Texas! Needless to say a "love affair" was born for
this wonderful breed!
Larry and I
began our search for the best broodmares we could find and at the same
time always looking for a stallion that would be able to produce the
"type" we wanted to create! We did our homework and we researched
breeders and their bloodlines. We looked for consistent type, correct
conformation and an athletic ability along with that great disposition
our first little mare had.
We finally
found her in 1991, " The Varian Arabian" owned by Shelia Varian! And the
rest is history!
Our mares
and our stallion all carry the bloodlines of this great breeder. We feel
if you can continue to be successful after 50 yrs of breeding, you must
be doing something right! What a great individual to follow! And with
bloodlines such as this you find that your breeding program is very
predictable, the old saying "Champions Breed Champions", is so true!
Always
remember to be honest with people, to be very critical of your own horses
instead of your neighbors, and follow your heart!
Welcome
to our world!
