"When I was searching
for a stallion to breed to my elder broodmare, I visited Ali Sheba
Arabians where Larry and Shirley Dover were standing Perfecshaahn. The
Dover's farm is very neat and well kept. All of their horses appear to get
excellent care and individual
attention.
I was immediately
impressed with their stallion, Perfecshaahn. He is athletic and beautiful
and has such a wonderful and kind disposition.
I ended up purchasing a
yearling filly by "Shawn", as he is lovingly nicknamed. Lovely
Leaanna Bey is definitely a reflection of her name. She is absolutely
lovely and has the sweetest nature and most willing attitude I have ever
experienced in a mare so young.
Larry and Shirley treat
human and horse clients with great respect and individuality. I highly
recommend Ali Sheba Arabians as a top-notch/high-class breeding program. "

" Ray Ray is just the
sweetest little boy in the world! And I'm glad to know that you have
some more horses for sale. Everyone who meets Ray wants to know where we
found him. He's a walking, smooching billboard for Ali Sheba and the
Arabian Horse Registry! I swear, even
people
who have never cared for Arabians just go crazy for him. He's just so
sweet and charming, and he never meets a stranger. He will take up with
absolutely anyone.
We took Ray and Sabre
to Don's company picnic, and they were a HUGE hit! I think the adults go
as big a kick out of petting them and watching them play in the field as
the kids. And Ray Ray just stood there (like a big boy) quiet and gentle
as could be, lowering his head right down to the ground so the smallest
ones could pet him.
Shirley, I just can't
tell you how impressed we are with our boy. Ray is truly one in a
millions. Training him is absolutely no work. It's as if he's already
"been there, done that". In fact, I sometimes think he can read my mind.
I'm already doing light hacking around the barn and out on the trail
with him -- bareback with just a rope halter for control. He doesn't
seem to mind having me on his back at all. He will just scoot up to a
fence, or bench, or whatever else I find to climb up on the mounting. I
tell you, he's just AMAZING!!!
My barn buddies just
can't believe I'm riding him already. Most of them would never try to
ride their horses without a saddle, much less a bridle. Ray's made a lot
of people rethink what they've been told about Arabs. In fact, a friend
of mine, who would never considered owning an Arabian before meeting
Ray, said she would buy an Arabian in a heartbeat if it was as sweet and
gentle as Ray.
I'd better stop
bragging about the boy and let you go. But he really is something! We'll
be sure to send all interested parties your way. "
Take care,
Suzanne Rich

" I first got into
the horse business when I met and married my husband. I was introduced
to the Dovers of Ali Sheba Arabians early in my relationship with my
husband because he was helping them breeding their stallion Perfecshaahn.
My husband had also bought two Arabian horses from the Dovers prior to
our meeting. Our stallion, Largo, who is the sweetest guy in the barn,
came from their previous stallion and we had a beautiful grey mare.
Time passed and I
learned more and more about the Arabian breed, mostly from the Dovers. I
eventually bred two mares to "Shaahn" and bough another mare in foal to
Shaahn. Actually, all of my barn children came from Ali Sheba
Arabians, either by being the offspring of Shaahn or bought on contract
from the Dovers.
The Dovers were
always very good with us when we were purchasing a horse from them,
because we cannot afford to pay outright for the quality we got from
them. We have now paid off all of our horses and when I was selling
several of our horses over the past few years, the Dovers actually found
my buyer. The only time I have actually sold a horse, my buyer came by
recommendation of Ali Sheba Arabians!
I must admit I have
become very attached to Larry and Shirley Dover and it never ceases to
amaze me. It is extremely refreshing to know that if you buy a horse
from Ali Sheba Arabians, not only did you get a good business deal buy
you have made lifetime friends. I'm pretty sure they would not sell one
of their horses to someone whom they did not feel would take as
good of care of the horse as they do. "

"Dear Larry & Shirley,
It is with great
pleasure that I write to thank you for the wonderful service we have
received
from Ali Sheba Arabians. It is so nice to do business with a farm
that is willing to work with the mare's cycle and ship semen when
necessary and possible. The service we have received has been outstanding
especially during breeding season each year. The shipments are always in
excellent condition and we have had 100% conception rate on our mares. The
resulting Perfecshaahn foals have been beautiful, correct, and very easy
to handle. We feel very fortunate to have met you through our horses and
feel you both are very special people. We look forward to doing business
with you in the future. "
Yours truly,

P.S. - I just wanted
to tell you that the vet insisted on coming back out yesterday morning
early on her own time and checking Cameo again. She just could not
understand how she held on to the follicle so long. Well at 8:30 am
yesterday Cameo had already ovulated. So she must have ovulated sometime
Monday or Tuesday. Monday before your container was shipped the little
cup that holds the semen had a little in it that had leaked out of one
of the bags. They checked it and it was very mobile and the count was
very good and this was at 72 hours. This was after sitting in the
container since Friday when you put it in and the vet says that it keeps
better in the mare, so there is a chance that she might get preg. They
said that Shawn's sperm looked better at 72 hours than some other horses
do when they first receive it.

"Dear Shirley,
I just wanted to wish
you all a merry Christmas. Sallee is doing great! She is such a great
horse! Earlier this year I took her to the Region 12 Youth Jamboree. She
was as awesome as ever. I got to take clinics with her with some of the
top trainers in our region. Later that week, I showed her in the Hunter
JOTR and JTR. In the four classes that I showed her in she placed 4th out
of about 20 horse, 5th out of over 25 horses, plus more! Needless to say,
she was always in the ribbons! I was showing her quite often in the local
shows in hunter, winning quite a bit. Once I got very brave and decided to
show her Western Pleasure! We placed 4th out of a whole bunch of Quarter
Horses! She had never been taught to be western.
Sallee is such a great
horse and next year we will have a foal out of her. She is bred to an
Appaloosa sport-horse. She is due an early baby, so hopefully we will be
up and showing again by August. All of the trainers that have worked with
her all love her; she's such a joy!!! She will be going Western Pleasure &
Hunter next show season, plus more trail rides new and then. So watch fo
us, we might be hitting some "A" shows up your way!"
Hope to see you soon,
Mariah Bell & Sallee
